New Policy Update: Prohibition of Liquor and Restrictions on Indian Currency (INR) for International Travelers

In adherence to local laws and national regulations, we wish to inform all passengers and staff about the following important updates:

Liquor Prohibition in Gaya

As per the prohibition law in Bihar, the manufacturing, storage, and transportation of liquor are strictly prohibited. Any individual found carrying or consuming liquor within Gaya terminals, or attempting to smuggle it, will be subject to severe penalties, including imprisonment for up to 10 years and a fine of Rs. 1 lakh. Additionally, local authorities are authorized to arrest individuals found in violation of this law.

Restriction on Indian Currency (INR) Exports

In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), no Indian currency (INR) is permitted to be taken out of India. All non-resident Indians (NRIs) and foreign travelers must exchange any Indian rupees in their possession for foreign currency before departure. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in confiscation of the currency, fines, or, in serious cases, arrest and prosecution.
